Buttermilk Crab II


Kesian kat Ilyas, asyik meleleh jerk air liur dia, agaknya apalah yg mak dia teringin nak makan masa pregnantkan dia..Gara-gara pergi Anjung Ketam kat Labuan tempohari, Lela makan Buttermilk crab dgn kawan2 Encik Suami, aduhai..lepas pada tu hati ni melekattttttttt jerk dgn buttercrab ni..tapi takkan semata-mata nak pergi labuan makan buttercrab, tak masuk akal..pernah try buat sekali hari tu, tak sedap & tak menjadi..(sedih makcik)...

Hurmm tulah, nak seribu daya,kan??? nasiblah ada internet, surf punya surf, jumpalah resipi dan cara buat oleh PRECIOUS PEA'S...mak aiiii, bersemangat borong ketam kat pasar karat, subuh-subuh lagi makcik lela kejutkan 2 permata hati & siapkan mereka ....berkobar-kobar nak pergi cari ketam..mujurlah Hani & Ilyas tak meragam. So...silalah menjamu mata dgn buttercrab versi makcik lela nih..resepi lela copy paste dari Precious Pea's..

Nak tahu rasa camner? Uiksss..sedap bangat sih..bau cheese melekat kat tangan sampai ke malam..memang tercapai gak hajat nak makan buttercrab nih, so lepas ni blehlah buat selalu..yum yum yum....

Ingredients:
1 kg mud crabs
100 gram butter
250 gram cream cheese (Lela tambah cream cheese,resipi asal takde)
1 can evaporated milk
4-6 bird's eye chilies (leave whole & lightly smashed)
4 stalks curry leaves (leaves only)
1 1/2 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
A dash of fish sauce
1 1/2 tbs corn flour mix with 1 1/2 tbs water

-Heat butter in a wok until melted then add the evaporated milk. I used a big and deep claypot for easy stirring. Add the curry leaves, chilli padi & seasoning. Gently simmer the mixture over a medium heat for 10 minutes. Keep stirring the mixture.

-Add the corn starch and stir gently over a very low heat until sauce is stick & glossy in texture.

-Throw in the crab & stir well & let it simmer for another minutes. If you take my suggestion for not poaching the crab beforehead, then let it simmer for 4-5 minutes. REMEMBER TO KEEP STIRRING.

-The end result..a very yummy pot of creamy rich flavourful butter crab.
